Update: 200 Days to Beijng Olympics Part II

At the Beijing Olympics 2008 Theme Song Campaign Night, Elva sang "Confession" (表白) and "The Most Familiar Stranger" (最熟悉的陌生人) and captured the hearts of the 10000-people crowd, making her the star of that night. While Elva wanted to watch the Beijing Olympics basketball match this August, she did not expect to perform at the basketball gymnasium earlier than the games. "I step foot here before Yao Ming did! And the gymnasium is so grand, I hope I can hold a concert here in the future." she said.

Performing at the campaign night made Elva the first Taiwanese female artiste to perform at the Beijing Wu Ke Song Basketball Gymnasium. At the event, Wakin Chau (周华健) sang the Olympic Dream song "I'm the Star" (我是明星) and Jay Chou delivered his latest hits like "Rainbow" (彩 虹). But Elva was the main attraction amongst the female artiste as she started her performance with "Confession" in a blue and black mini dress, causing many people to stand up from their seats and dance along with the music. Her next song, "The Most Familiar Stranger" (最熟悉的陌生人), resulted in a 10000-people sing-along session.
The event was the first time that the newly-built basketball gymnasium was opened to the public and most of the Olympic basketball matches would be held there. Elva had failed to get tickets for the basketball matches and was pretty upset. But she was comforted by the fact that she had reached the stadium before Yao Ming. The gymnasium, with a capacity of 17000 people, is equipped with the state-of-the-art sound proofing and wide screen technology such that the audience can have a clear view of the stage at any angle or seat. So after Elva's performance, her manager suggested that she should stage a concert at the gymnasium for the 17000 people.
It has been almost 400 days since Elva released her last album, 1087 and in fact Elva had begun preparing for her latest album since June last year. She had taken time out of her recording schedule to perform for the event, and once she returns to Taipei she would retreat to her recording studio to record her last 4 songs in the album. If everything goes smoothly, her album would be released this coming April, fulfilling her date that she had made with her fans in Spring.
