Elva Opens China Film Festival

The 17th China Golden Rooster & Hundred Flowers Film Festival opened recently amidst much fanfare in Dalian, China. Elva performed the opening act for the evening, elevating emotions of the crowd to a new high.

Clad in a black evening dress, Elva belted her dance hit “I’ll Be There” from her latest album “3-Faced Elva”. She expressed that she was honoured to perform for the festival and specially designed a dress for this event. She explained that her high-waist black dress was made to accentuate the curves and skin colour of Asians.
This is also the first time that she revealed her designs for a public event, which made her more nervous than to perform on stage: “This is different from what I had done previously for my albums, the quality and style are different.”

Since her cameo appearance in the Infernal Affairs 5 years ago, Elva had hoped to fulfill her wish of appearing on the big screen next year. Recent news have reported of her meeting with 3 Hong Kong directors, and Elva said that she has never given up her dream towards movies and being a newbie in the movie industry, she hoped that everyone can give her more time to consider her movie choice. Her manager had clearly expressed that she would begin her filming next year and so her schedule for the next half of next year is fully booked.
After the performance, Elva would be heading to other parts of China to continue her promotional tour.
