Elva Dishes Fashion Tips

“Fashion is a religion!” Elva exclaimed, displaying her love for fashion, which was developed while she was studying fashion design in Canada. Although singing and dancing form a significant part of her life, fashion runs through her veins. “I would read at least 10 fashion magazines every month, be it local or international.” To her, fashion is not just a course during her studies; it is an indispensable part of her life.

Although she has a strong affection towards fashion, she said: “Those who believes in fashion are usually fashion victims.” Because studying fashion is a costly matter, any people could not afford to do so, hence in her song “I’ll Be There”, there is a verse “It’s alright without a gown or branded bags… I am at my fashion forefront.” (沒有禮服無所謂,沒有名牌包也無所謂…跑在我的時尚). Although not written by her, this verse was inspired by a conversation she had with the lyricist. “I feel that mix and match is most important! Branded stuff has their quality and creativity, but you do not need to have them all over your body.”
“It takes skills not to be a fashion victim!” she said firmly, “If you can’t find your own style, you can get inspiration from runway shows. Imitating is a good start. If you add a few branded accessories, it will bring out a beautiful style. If you can afford it, you can try a few branded dresses and experience the exquisiteness of the design. This can strengthen your ability to select quality clothes.” As a proud owner of 7 Hermes and 6 Chanel bags, Elva sure knows how to dish out some useful fashion tips.

Will her love for fashion affect the way she chooses her boyfriend? She laughed: “I’m easily attracted to guys who dress well, but they are usually gay.” She does not like guys who intentionally dress well. Instead, she prefers guys who unintentionally display a sense of style. “The last time I went Milan for the D&G fashion show, I met many European men. Even with a simple cashmere shirt and a suit, complete with a pair of leather shoes, they look so attractive.”

With the Chinese Valentine’s Day coming on the 7 July (lunar calendar), Elva expressed that she has an impulse to be in love, “Who doesn’t want to be in love? But I don’t like to spend Valentine’s Day. Don’t you feel it? Be it Valentine’s Day or birthdays, you are supposed to be happy, but because you cared too much that it will end up in a quarrel.”

When asked about her love life, Elva refused to divulge any details. With a brand new start, Elva is more matured and courageous, “Eve is the epitome of women. I am like all of you, I’m just a woman only.” Lastly, she said that having been named as the diva previously, and transiting between the stages of a girl and woman, she has decided to be herself and be a 3-Faced Elva.
