Heated Feelings

Just returned to the hotel,
And until now I’m still pretty affected
After attending the Sichuan charity show organized by Shanghai East TV station
I was a little heated like I’m in a sauna

Can you imagine being crushed by debris for 80 hours?
My God……..
But this child Jiang Yu Qi
Made it through!
This afternoon I was playing together with her in the Shanghai Science centre
Because it’s a science centre,
it was noisy and a shaky.
But these people were used to it.
And now she’s not afraid of earthquakes.
I was heartbroken,
and I could only hold her hand and say
“Don’t be afraid. I’m here.”

She's the courageous Jiang Yu QiShooting with Yu Qi at the Science Centre

At the recording of the show at night,
I got to know a secondary 1 kid from Bei Chuan Secondary School,
who had survived the earthquake.
She was buried by the debris of the classroom on the 4th floor.
Stuck for more than 50 hours,
she saw her classmates taking their last breaths,
and discovered that she had lost 8 of her close ones (including her mother).
When I saw her limping onto the stage , wearing a smile on her face,
my tears could not stop flowing.

Seeing them and knowing their stories,
I really admire their courage,
and I’m heartbroken for them.

I’m glad that I could contribute a little,
And I hope that I’d drawn everyone’s attention
on these people who need a lot of help.

Tonight,
besides learning a new life lesson from these small heroes,
I’d also felt the warmth from all over the world.
I thanked those who had generously bought my donation.
Special mention goes to a Taiwan businessman who bought it.
During the 1999 Taiwan 921 earthquake,
he was in Taiwan
and he experienced the warmth and care from China.
This time,
he wanted to use this opportunity to repay their kindness.

He donated RMB638,000 to the Sichuan Relief Fund,
and he said that we are all Chinese,
so we should help each other.

I’m so touched.
Sichuan, all the best!

P.S.
Actually something interesting happened during filming.
When I was playing with Jiang Yu Qi,
a small boy came on stage.
He was so cute.
When the host asked him what was his name,
I was shocked.
What? You are called Jang Hyuk (Zhang He)?
Haha.
I’d heard wrongly.
His name is Zhang Hao (I’m not sure which Hao).
His sister and mother won the bid for my red dress,
which I wore at my first autograph session after my leg injury.

Thank you, handsome!
