Elva Turns Black Widow

As the key image stylist behind the smoking looks of Jolin, Elva and Stefanie, Chen Sun Hua (陈孙华) recently collaborated with other Asia's top makeup artist and photographer to release his coffeetable book, "The Ideas of Sun Hua" (孙华的想相).

Elva was proud to be one of the artistes to be featured in the book, appearing with a stunning black widow look. After almost 12 hours of photoshoot, Elva looked sexy and confident, demonstrating her passion and confidence in her work. The crystals on her hands symbolise spiderwebs, showing her fearlessness against adversities and continuing to shine above all obstacles.
Working with Sun Hua several times had strengthened their friendship, so Elva immediately agreed to work with him when she heard of his creative proposal. Afterwhich, she began discussing with him the possible ideas for the photoshoot, and they came out with this idea of a black widow to be the main feature of his book.
Sun Hua revealed the reason for giving Elva the black widow look is because in his opinion, he felt that Elva is a tough woman. Although she had injured her leg shortly after a 3-year hiatus, she was not discouraged and put in a lot of effort for her rehabilitation in order to return to the stage as soon as possible. This made him pretty impressed. When discussing with Elva about the look, he could imagine her as a black widow with attractive and confident eyes. As for the weapon of the black widow, he used crystals to symbolise spiderwebs.
During the 5 hours of hair and image styling, the makeup artist gave Elva a pair of smoky eyes followed by spraying black paint and pasting Swarovski crystals on her hands. With a lightning background that depicts the harsh environment, Elva reached out with an extended arm and does not bow down to difficulties.
At the photoshoot, Elva, dressed in a thin black top, rehearsed with the others at the scene. She demonstrated what a superstar should look like with her numerous poses under the lightings. Sun Hua personally showed her how she should pose, making her creating several comical poses and made the rest of the team burst out laughing. When the photoshoot finally ended at midnight, Elva was very satisfied with how the pictures turned out. She ended the day by taking several photos with the artists.
When asked how she felt working with Sun Hua in this project, she said "I've always been very impressed by Sun Hua's unique view on beauty. And he was very creative for tailoring this black widow look for me. I also trust his professional skills vey much, and bringing out the sexiness in me when I'm so conservative.
Throughtout the shoot, she kept her megawatt smile and energy, not even showing a bit of lethargy. Her enthusiasm in the discussions portayed professionalism and perfectionism. Being a sexy and attractive black widow, it symbolised Elva's breakthrough and belief of turning apprehension to strength that became an advantage that she have to push her career to greater heights.
