Elva versus Show on Stage

In his latest album "舞所不在" that is scheduled to be released on 16 Nov, Show Luo (罗志祥) will be singing a duet with Elva Hsiao, titled "败给你" (Defeated by You)!

In the music video, Show and Elva played a lovey-dovey couple who likes small squabbles. Besides a duel on stage, they even vent their frustrations on each other's collectibles, while screaming in their hearts "I'm really defeated by you!"

Both of them will be having a ballroom dance performance called "Jitterbug" ( 吉鲁巴), which will involve close body contact. This made Elva really shy, causing a lot of NGs during the production. As an appreciation to Show, Elva specially wore the latest Autumn / Winter ensemble costing a 6-figure sum!

This is the first time that they are collaborating for a song, which is expected to be a karaoke hit for couples. The specially choreographed dance is extremely sweet and fun. However, there were some problems when Elva had to hold Show's hands, hence they contemplated changing the dance move. They soon realised that it was because Elva was too shy to hold Show's hands. Show joked "What's there to be shy and nervous about? Why don't we have a hug or french kiss to warm ourselves up?" A red-faced Elva rebutted loudly "NO! I'm really defeated by you"

From the recording of the song to the filming of the music video, both of them could not agree on whether the couple depicted in the song are together. This gave the director an idea of having a 3-stage duel between them, which leads to the finale on stage.
