Beijing Olympics Interview
R = Reporter E = Elva
R: Why do you want to participate in the 1-year countdown to Beijing Olympics theme song?
E: This is a very proud moment for me. I used to think that only the athletes could take part in the Olympics, but now as a singer, I have a chance to be involve in the event, I'm very happy. Besides, the fact that the Olympics will be held in China is a great news to all Chinese, I'm sure all Chinese will think the same way.
R: This event must have affecte your commercial gigs, how did you take that into consideration?
E: Actually I wasn't really affected. Because I knew that my performance would be Olympics related, so all other work gave priority for this performance. These 2 days was a mad rush for me, I'm thinking someone might have saw me running along Tung Lo Wan in my long dress. Haha.
R: The Beijing Olympics theme song is currently in the process of songs selection, have you sent your song?
E: I'm sure there will be a lot of people who had participated, and being much better than me. But I still hope to participate. I'm pretty good at writing lyrics! I will try my best to write a good song, regardless of whether it will be selected. What's important is I had tried.
R: If you can choose to watch a 'live' Olympic event, which one will you pick?
E: I will definitely choose volleyball, it's because I was one of the top female volleyball player in my high school. Too bad I'm not tall enough, can't jump higher than the net. Although I'm busy with my work now, I still took time out to read about our Chinese female volleyball team. I also know that our female volleyball team is the best in the world.
R: What's the sports that you do most?
E: I think should be dancing, but I do often watch sports competition on TV, especially volleyball. I would be interested in which country are good in what sports, how the Chinese team is doing.
