Rumours of Elva's ex-boyfriend Sunny Wang and pop singer Rainie Yang were spreading strong. When asked while promoting her upcoming album "I Love I" at a radio event, Elva replied nonchalantly "This must be the best Christmas present that he has ever given me!"

It has been six years since Elva's relationship with Sunny Wang ended. Recently, Sunny Wang was spotted touring with Taiwanese singer Rainie Yang in the U.S. Although her relationship had ended long ago, the media continued to question Elva on how she felt about the news.

"It can't be that every time something happens to him, I get questioned." When asked how she felt about his relationship with Rainie Yang, Elva replied "I guess I'm just like everyone, thinking whether is it real or not?" On whether she would give her wishes to them "I hope everyone can find their happiness!" But when asked about her happiness, she lamented "I think it's getting tougher for me to find someone that is compatible."

Elva 12th studio album "I Love I" will be released on 23 Dec 2011. Pre-orders starts 6 Dec 2011. Her first single from the album "I Love I", has hit radio airwaves since 30 Nov 2011.

Elva Spents NT$4 million on Her Latest Album Looks

Pre-orders for Elva's latest album "I Love I" start on 6 Dec 2011, and a preview of her album look was released today. The album has two different versions - "Playful Candid I Love" version and "Trendy Romantic Love Me" version.

This is the first time that Gold Typhoon invested NT$3 million to create 13 different mix styles for Elva's album. On top of that, Elva has to fork out NT$1 million to purchase the clothes and accessories that her stylist had borrowed for her publicity period.

To create the all new modern diva image, Elva engaged the special assistance of stylists, photographers and designers from both Hong Kong and Taiwan. Hong Kong local brands also lent their hand, sponsoring some of their latest collections. Elva's stylist had a hard time choosing 13 out of over 200 different sets of clothes for her album. "This is what I dreamt of as a kid. Am I in a movie set? my legs are wobbling!" Elva gasped she first enter the changing room.

Preparation for the album has taken a toll on Elva. She had only slept 5 hours in two days while filming her latest music video. To perk herself up, she had her favorite pink champagne ready in her set and her latest single "I Love I" playing in the background. Once she had returned to Taipei from Hong Kong, Elva immediately went for a drip at the hospital to replenish the vitamins in her body. Afterwhich, she immediately went for a 24-hour filming for her music video. "I love my body, but this is really tiring!" screamed Elva.

Fans who listen to Elva's latest single "I Love I" will definitely be on cloud nine! "This is 'Miss Elva' upgraded version. The dance will be totally new!" Elva explained excitedly. Her latest single has already previewed in radio airwaves on 30 November! Her album, "I Love I" will be released on 23 Dec 2011.

Elva's 11th studio album, I Love I (我爱我), will be released on 23 Dec 2011! Pre-order starts 6 Dec 2011.

Her first single from the album, I Love I, will debut on radio airwaves on 30 Nov 2011.

Today, Elva invited the media for to preview 5 songs from the album. At the event, Elva also took the opportunity to thank Yao Qian for his contribution to the album. Knowing his love for yoga, Elva gave him two yoga mats as well as specially cooked steak for him.

ELVA will be walking the red carpet with Jamie Foxx at the Grammys on February 13th. ELVA had met Foxx last year when they collaborated on a charity EP during Christmas time. Foxx also donated $500,000 (US) for the event. And this time, he invited ELVA to be his partner to walk with him on the red carpet.

As the first Taiwanese singer to walk on the Grammy's red carpet, ELVA has prepared five different gowns, costing a million TWD. She has also lost 3 Kg within a week, which she hopes she can look her best on the big night. According to various news sources, Foxx will help introduce ELVA to US record companies for possible future collaborations. ELVA expressed that she’s very excited and nervous, but she doesn’t dare to think too much about it.

Elva Records Christmas Single for Charity

To promote the importance of healthy children in Africa, Elva gathered various artistes such as Angela Zhang, Vanness Wu and Dee Hsu to record a single for charity, titled “Let Everyday be a Christmas Day”. Proceeds for the sale of the single will go towards the Taiwan World Vision Children Health Campaign.

Elva expressed that her visit to Kenya this July gave her much strength and inspiration “What we have as an individual here far outweighs what their tribe could afford.” She recalled that before she left Kenya, a Kenyan mother held her hand and told her not to forget them. Since then, her promise had been etched in her mind and she felt that helping them through a collective effort would be more effective than an individual one.

In October, Elva started conceptualizing the project, and wanted to gather many people to do something for the children. But because of the busy schedules of many artistes, this project was nearly aborted! Because of what her pastor had told her, Elva pushed on no matter how tired or busy she was.

Elva said “As we only have two weeks to produce the single, it was especially pressurizing for the team. Some of them did not sleep for 3 days, some broke down, and I heard even the director had cried a few times!” She revealed that this was the first time that she felt like fainting because of the recording of the single. What spurred the team on was the encouragement for one another. “Everyone’s effort had helped to produce this Christmas present for the children’s future!”

Elva’s efforts had paid off, as even Academy Award winner Jamie Foxx pitched in by recording a video to help promote the campaign. The actor also donated US$50,000 to the campaign. Jamie knew of the campaign through Elva, who had knew him before and had told him about the campaign.

Elva attended the CCTV-MTV Music Award in Beijing on 18 Oct, together with other artistes such as A-Mei, Hebe, Na Ying, David Tao and Lin Jun Jie. Elva won the coveted Most Popular Female Singer - Hong Kong/Taiwan.

Although it was drizzling at the red carpet event, Elva wore a black mini dress paired with fish-bone stilettos. She also sang her latest single "Miss Elva" for the first time in China.

In just 10 days of its release, sales of Elva’s latest album, “Miss Elva” have exceeded expectations, clinching top position in7 music charts in Taiwan. Elva’s record company, Gold Typhoon, specially held an event in an ice cream parlour to celebrate the album’s sweet success! “I’m really happy, and I thank everyone who had brought “Miss Elva” to every part of the world!” Elva said.

The album did better than Elva’s last album, Diamond Candy, which took the top position for 12 charts after 26 days of its release. “Knowing that the album has done well has made me extremely happy even amidst my busy schedule. This is a new beginning after my first ten years. I glad to say that Miss Elva is ready!”

To reflect the sweet dreamy feel of her 3rd music video, Rhapsody, Gold Typhoon engaged a magician to produce her sales figures out of nothing! When it was announced that her album had sold 75,326 copies, Elva was very grateful for those who had supported her and was amazed by the performance “The magician is so cool. No wonder Jay Chou likes to perform magic. I could try it too during my next concert!”

To thank her fans, Elva specially created mixed flavor ice cream consisting of mango, strawberry and vanilla flavor for her fans. Her record company also made an exception, allowing her to eat the ice cream with the rest of her fans, despite wanting her to watch her weight. “I don’t usually eat sweet stuff, but I would be very happy every time I eat it. I especially love sorbet!”

Elva Promotes Equality in Love

The 4th music video from Elva's latest album, Miss Elva, was released early this week. Titled "Let Me Fly In", the music video showed that love can transcends genders, and encouraged everyone to be who they really were and not conform to societal norms.

There were two version of the music video, the "Ice Breaker" version and the "Rainbow" version, released on 12 and 14 Oct respectively on Channel V and MTV channel. As the music video was rated mature theme, the video could not be shown during family hours from 5pm to 9pm daily. Hearing this news, Elva immediately requested for the music videos to be uploaded on Gold Typhoon's website.

After the loss of her mum early this year, Elva had showed more care towards her friends. She wanted to let everyone know that love is equal through the song. "I believe that any love should not be discriminated as long as no one is hurt!"

Elva was surprised when she saw the newspaper on 29 Sep. A secret admirer had posted a half-page declaration of love for her, which reads:

"Dear Elva,

"It's so romantic, it would be a plus point if I like him too." she said when she saw the note.

There were many speculations on the admirer. Many pointed out that L.S. could be Sunny, her former boyfriend, and L.S. would mean Love Sunny. When asked, Sunny denied it and said that he did not know about this, and did not think that he would woo Elva again. Her record company, Gold Typhoon, also denied allegations of publicity. Elva subsequently responded via Weibo that she found out who that person is, and stated that it is "irreversible".

Elva held a celebratory autograph session yesterday (25 Sep) at Ximending, Taipei, for the impressive sales of her album, Miss Elva, released on 24 Sep. The album sold more than 300,000 copies within one day in Asia, and just in Taiwan the album sold 55,819 copies. The music video of Miss Elva also attracted more than 215,000 hits within 14 days of its debut on YouTube.

Elva was pleased with the results of the album, “I had put in a lot of effort into the production of the album. And I thank everyone for giving me your support. I hope that this album would be a totally new beginning for my career!”

The autograph session was postponed to yesterday due to typhoon warnings. Elva was especially grateful that the weather was fine, and said that she had prayed the night before for good weather, “I felt that my company’s decision to postpone the autograph session is a wise one, because many people in Tainan were affected by the typhoon. As an artist, I would be glad to go to Tainan soon to bring happiness to everyone there!”

Her record company, Gold Typhoon, specially tailored a slick jumpsuit for Elva, taking inspiration from Uma Thurman in the movie, Kill Bill. (The suit reportedly costs a whopping 6-figure sum.) But under the 31 degrees weather, Elva felt extremely hot in her outfit, saying that she might have released more than 1kg of perspiration!

When asked about her love life, Elva replied “I’m glad that many of friends have found their other half. But I’m putting my career first. I will let nature take its course, and I don’t deny that there are suitors!”

To thank Elva’s fans for their support, those who had bought the album were entitled to a free poster at the event. For those who had pre-order, the record company also gave a free “Miss Elva” MV DVD!

Pre-order sales of Elva's 11th album, Miss Elva, have reached more than 40,000 in 10 days. To celebrate the success of her album, Elva's record company, Gold Typhoon, tied up with Taiwan record store, Rose Records, to sell the album one day earlier than the release date, and the store was specially revamped to become a luminous store!

Besides the luminous lights in the store, Elva's NT$300,000 glowing outfit in her music video was also showcased in the store.

As the album was out of stock in the store, the record company had to specially source for additional 200 copies from other areas. Those who bought the album on that day had their album signed by Elva in luminous colour and got the chance to taste the ice cream made by Elva. With such a great deal, the 200 copies were sold within 5 minutes! Elva said happily "Because I'm still dieting, I can't eat the ice cream. But my fans will be able to enjoy it!"

Elva Renews Her Vows with Gold Typhoon

Elva renews her contract with Gold Typhoon! A “wedding reception” was held on 20 Sep to symbolize Elva’s marriage with the record company. With 10 years of collaboration, Elva joked in her speech “Thank you for the care that you have showered me over the past 10 years, even though I had an ‘affair’ during this time!”

Elva said that she had the good company of those from then EMI Music, which was re-grouped to become Gold Typhoon. Together, they had achieved spectacular results. Gold Typhoon not only cared about Elva, they had also made Elva a media and endorsement darling. The record company had always provided full support during Elva’s events, they were with her at various chapters of her career, from an up and coming singer to the Asian pop diva that Elva is now!

Witnessed by the Asian media, Elva renewed her contract with Gold Typhoon for a period of two years, at a rooftop garden. Last year, Elva held the press conference for her album, Diamond Candy, in the same building. To signify that she had risen to a higher level, the reception was held at the roof top. It was considered a leather wedding anniversary as Elva’s last contract with Gold Typhoon was for a period of 3 years. Therefore, Elva wore a white leather wedding gown for the reception.
